A no-chasing order handoff

This is a fictional order example. It helps a team decide what an operations tool needs before buying or building one.

Sales records the requested item and quantity. Operations checks availability and delivery conditions. A named person accepts the promise. Payment remains pending until the approved verification occurs. Fulfillment records the completion evidence and handles any exception.

For each stage, write the information needed, owner, next action and visible status. Try a cancelled order, a changed delivery detail and a payment that cannot yet be matched. If staff would still need to search several chats to explain the status, the record is missing an important fact. Keep the first version focused on those facts.
